PRINCEVILLE — Four Kaua‘i junior golfers will be among the 16-golfer field when the 2013 Junior Tour Series for 14 and under gets under way Saturday at the Makai Golf Club, hosted by the Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association.
The Kaua‘i field includes two golfers in the Boys 13-14 division, Rilen Loo of Lihu‘e, and Anthony Apalla, also of Lihu‘e. The Boys 13-14 division is the largest in the tournament with seven golfers registered.
James Pratt of Lihu‘e will be playing in the Boys 11-12 division and Niki Slater Upson of Princeville, paired with Pratt in the opening round, will be playing in the Boys 7-10 division.
Three girls, Minny Byun of Honolulu, Lana Calibuso-Kwee of Wailuku, Maui and Kaylee Akagi of Mililani, O‘ahu, will be playing in the Girls 7-10 division.
Longtime Kaua‘i golfer Milburn Ho of Honolulu is one of two girls in the Girls 11-12 division, being joined by Sara Keppel, also of Honolulu.
The Boys 7-10 will play a Par 72, 4,740 yards while the Girls 7-10 will play a Par 72, 4,800 yards.
The Girls 11-12 will play a Par 72, 4,800 yards while the Boys 11-12 will play a Par 72, 5,974 yards.
The Boys 13-14 will play a Par 72, 6,585 yards.
The tournament will wrap up Sunday.
