LIHU‘E — The third printout of results from the 2020 Primary Election have been released, with Mason Chock leading the County Council race with 12,196 votes as of 10:50 p.m. on Saturday.
Also in the top 7 as of the first printout of Primary Election results and following Chock are Luke Evslin with 12,046 votes, Aaryl Kaneshiro with 11,503 votes, Bernard Carvalho with 11,097 votes, Kipukai Kuali‘i with 9,470 votes, Felicia Cowden with 8,671 votes and Billy Decosta with 7,340 votes.
Jade Waialeale Battad landed at number eight on the first printout with 5,776 votes. Following Battad, in descending order, were Addison Bulosan, Ed Justus, Wally Nishimura, Richard Fukishima, Shirley Simbre-Medeiros and, at number 14 on the list, Mike Dandurand.
In the race for State Representative D-15, incumbent James Tokioka was in the lead at the time of the first printout, with 4,450 votes, versus challenger Steve Yoder who had 615 votes.
In the race for State Representative D-16, incumbent Dee Morikawa received 4,146 votes tallied on the first printout and challenger Ana Mo Des received 371 votes.
