County announces holiday closures

LIHUE – In observance of King Kamehameha Day, County of Kauai offices will be closed on Wednesday.

Closures also include the following facilities on June 11:

All neighborhood centers;

The Waimea and Kapaa swimming pools;

All refuse transfer stations;

• The Kekaha Landfill;

• The Puhi Metals Recycling Center; and

• The HI5 redemption centers in Lihue and Kekaha.

• The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged.

• The HI5 redemption center in Kapa‘a operated by Kauai Community Recycling Services (KCRS) located at 962 Kipuni Way will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• The Kauai Bus will be operating on its current daily schedule.

• Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Thursday.
