Anna ‘Annie’ Laura Knapp-Thuente
Anna “Annie” Laura Knapp-Thuente, 96, passed away on May 14, 2025, in Lihue, Kauai. She was born on July 26, 1928, in Waimea, Kauai. She was a hostess and entertainer at multiple venues.
She was preceded in death by parents Policarpio and Rose Rivera, brothers Manuel Rivera, Ernest Menehune Rivera, Arthur Rivera, Larry Rivera, sister Leolani Agnes, son LeRoy White, and husbands Rudolph Priggie, Oliver White, Edgar Knapp, and Dennis Thuente.
She is survived by her daughters Nalani (Robert) Stevenson, Anna Fern (Alvin Kawamoto) White, Dolores “Dee” (Kaipo) Gettle, stepson Donald (Mary) Thuente, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary in Koloa. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m., and the service begins at 10:30 a.m.
She will be buried in Kekaha Public Cemetery.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
