Lynn T. Seto
Lynn T. Seto, 79, of Waimea, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 4, 2025. He was a mechanic and owner of Seto’s Repair Service in Waimea.
He was preceded in the passing by his parents Tadao and Haruko Seto.
Lynn is survived by his wife Jane Seto, daughters Tana (Grant) Okamura, Jodi (Caleb) Silva, siblings Eddie (Lorraine) Seto, Gary Seto, Mae Kinoshita, grandchildren Jaelyn (Trevor) and Tanner Okamura, Ashley (Dylan) Hookano, Caleb Silva Jr. and great-grandchildren Ariana, Ashlyn and Tyson.
His celebration of life will be held at Garden Island Mortuary on Saturday, May 24, 2025, with visitation at 11 a.m. and service at noon.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Kenneth K. Casil Jr.
Kenneth Kealoha Casil Jr., 52, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, passed away on Oct. 16, 2024, at The Queen’s Medical Center, West Oahu. He was born on Feb. 1, 1972, in Kealakekua, Hawaii.
He was an entertainer and worked for American Fence Co. and Allied Fence Co., which led him to eventually start his own business, Pa’ahana Fencing.
He is predeceased by wife Rogelyn Rita Casil, father Kenneth K. Casil, grandparents Daniel and Lucy Kailiwai, Leonardo and Rebecca Casil, Frank and Agnes Medeiros, and in-laws Roger and Geneviva Ramos.
He is survived by daughter Kenna-Seanne K. Casil, sons Kenson K. Casil, Kenneth K. Casil III, mother MaryLou (Frank R.) Medeiros, brothers Todd (Robin) Medeiros, Scott Medeiros, Patrick Medeiros, sisters Kristy (Shane) Kahananui, Tasha Casil Yandall, Apelila Casil Yandall, Tehani Casil Kahakua, Te Mana Casil Duh, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended Ohana.
On Oahu, a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Church in Ewa, with visitation starting at 10 a.m.
On Kauai, a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Smith’s Tropical Paradise, with visitation also starting at 10 a.m.
Dennis W. Korpi
Dennis W. Korpi, age 76, of Kalaheo, passed away on April 14, 2025. He was born in Hancock, Michigan and raised in Chassell, Michigan by his parents Frederick and Lydia Korpi, and graduated from high school in 1967. He then served in the U.S. Army as a Generals Aide from 1967-71.
On Oct. 7, 1972, he married the love of his life, the former Vicki Randell, parents Robert and Mary Ann Randell of Dollar Bay, Michigan. Together they shared 53 years of travel, adventure, and laughter.
Dennis was a lifetime member of Colorado Springs Elks, an auxiliary member of Chassell, Michigan VFW, and most importantly a Freemason with the California Acacia Lodge #243 since 1992.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Vicki of Kalaheo, brother Larry (Tonja) Korpi of Canton, Ohio, three nephews, two great-nephews, and four great-nieces.
A celebration of life will be May 26, 2025, Salt Pond Beach main pavilion. Friends may visit with the family starting at 10 a.m. and ceremony at 11 a.m.

John Gordon
John Gordon of Princeville, Hawaii, passed away on March 11, 2025, in his home surrounded by family.
John served time in the U.S. Navy which is how he discovered our beautiful islands. He relocated his family to Oahu in 1964.
John had a 31-year career with the Federal Aviation Administration on Oahu, where he put his degree in Engineering from the University of Missouri to good use. In his position as Engineer and Manager he spent years monitoring the entire Pacific Sector and spent time on several of the Pacific Islands.
John and his wife Rosalie relocated to Kauai in the mid 1990’s after retiring from the FAA. John’s time on Kauai was divided between his many loves, serving on the Princeville Board, volunteering as a tour guide at Na Aina Kai Gardens, as a Member of the North Shore Lions Club, Ham Radio community responder and most memorably as Jazz with John on Tuesdays on KKCR Radio.
John is survived by his wife Rosalie, daughter Leslie, son Michael, granddaughter Phoebe, and grandson Ian.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kauai Christian Academy in Kilauea on July 12, 2025, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, John’s family would appreciate donations in his name to Kauai Humane Society, Kauai Hospice Care or KKCR Radio.
Beatrice Joan Bonilla
Beatrice Joan Bonilla, of Omao, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on May 31, 1931, in Kekaha.
She was preceded in death by husband Frank Bonilla, parents Gabril and Gloria (Soto) Ruiz, brothers Gabriel Ruiz Jr., Daniel L. Ruiz, and Michael Ruiz.
She is survived by sons Jim (Loretta) Bonilla of Caldwell, Idaho, Ricky Bonilla of Miami, Florida, Ken Bonilla of Lihue, Norman Bonilla of Eleele, daughters Dina Bonilla of Lawai, Penny (Steve) Lopez of Redwood City , California, grandchildren Kimo Bonilla, Brendy (Tim) Bonilla-Schuler, Paul (Katie) Lopez, Zachary Bonilla, great-grandchildren Phillp Bonilla, Haleigna Schuler, Luke Lopez, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be at a later date.
The family suggests casual attire, and flowers and leis are welcome.
