County announces Memorial Day holiday closures

LIHUE – In observance of Memorial Day, County of Kauai offices will be closed on Monday.

Closures also include the following facilities on May 26:

• All neighborhood centers;

• All refuse transfer stations;

• The Kekaha Landfill;

• The Puhi Metals Recycling Center; and

• All HI5 redemption centers.

The Waimea and Kapaa swimming pools will observe Memorial Day on Tuesday, and will be closed that day.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged.

The Kauai Bus will be operating on its current daily schedule.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday.
