LIHUE — The Kauai Interscholastic Federation released its Tennis All-Stars on Monday that lists the Boys Singles, Girls Singles, Boys Doubles and Girls Doubles categories.
LIHUE — The Kauai Interscholastic Federation released its Tennis All-Stars on Monday that lists the Boys Singles, Girls Singles, Boys Doubles and Girls Doubles categories.
Kauai High School placed the most players with eight making the All-Stars. Kapaa High School placed three on the list, and Waimea High School had junior Swede Sandblom make the cut for Boys Singles.
Opposing Sandblom on Boys Singles, Kapaa High School junior Ryan Murata completed the pair.
Two other Kapaa players, Luka Lasky Martin and Kainoa Danner, both juniors, were named to the Boys Doubles, opposing Kauai High School’s Aaron Hinazumi, a junior, and Shousei Kai, a senior.
Two Kauai High School players filled the Girls Singles slots: Laney Carvalho, a sophomore, and Samantha Tominaga, a junior.
Kauai High School girls also filled all of the Girls Doubles positions. The first team featured Taylee Yoshimoto, a junior, and Mia Marty, a senior who also played catcher for the Red Raider softball team.
A pair of juniors, Lily Corpuz and Ashley Chan, made up the second team in Girls Doubles.
