LIHUE —As the dust and excitement of the inaugural Kauai Interscholastic Federation girls football league settles, ties arose for several positions in the all-star listing released by the Kauai Interscholastic Federation on Thursday.
Waimea High School Coach Jason Caldeira reaped the votes for Coach position after the Menehune wahine earned the Central Pacific Bank KIF championship over the efforts of Kauai High School.
The Menehune, with no seniors on the all-star listing, filled in seven positions, including the tie for quarterback, and two linebacker slots.
Kauai High School listed two seniors in its seven positions.
Island School picked up three spots, including Kolohaiaheahe Kuhaulua getting named to the Wide Receiver and Linebacker positions.
Kapaa High School filled in one spot.
