Roger ‘Poncho’ Rodney Camelo
Roger “Poncho” Rodney Camelo, 69, passed away on May 3, 2025. He was born June 14, 1955, in Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i. He was a chef at Wailua Marina Restaurant and Kapa‘a Middle School custodian.
He was preceded in death by parents John and Maria Camelo and brother John Jay Camelo.
He is survived by his wife Debra Camelo, daughters Lorelei (Elika Sakazaki) Kasahara and Rachel Camelo, son Roger Camelo Jr., eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, at Lydgate Beach Park small pavilion starting at 12 p.m.
Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Ronald ‘Braddah’ Beralas
Ronald “Braddah” Beralas, 74, of Lihu‘e, Hawai‘i, passed away on May 6, 2025. Born on Oct. 5, 1950, in Hawai‘i. Ronald served in the U.S. Army and obtained the rank of Sergeant and most recently worked as the Courtesy Bus Driver for Avis/Budget rent-a-car.
He was preceded in death by his parents Al and Juliana Beralas, brother Alan Beralas and nephew Gavin Degracia.
Ronald is survived by sisters Corrine Deb (Frenchie) Degracia, Ginger (Hank) Soboleski, Yolanda (Dennis) Yacavona, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 16, 2025.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
