POIPU — Kim Medeiros edged out Hallie Cristobal for All Around Cowgirl honors at the latest Kauai All Girl Rodeo Association event held on May 4 at the CJM Country Stables in Poipu.
Cristobal picked up the lead in the 3D Barrel Racing after finishing fourth in the 1st D aboard Ruby, the trip around three barrels set up in the arena stopping the clocks at 17.412 seconds.
Medeiros, riding Royal, settled for a fourth place in the 2nd D when she stopped the clocks at 18.309 seconds.
Medeiros picked up the difference in the Goat Tying event where she finished second to Cristobal who settled at fifth place.
She pulled ahead in points in the Pole Bending by finishing in third aboard Royal while Cristobal settled for fifth in the 1stD aboard Stryder. Medeiros added to the gap with a third place finish in the 2ndD aboard Magic.
The next KAGRA rodeo will be held on Aug. 3 at the CJM Country Stables.
