WAILUA — Arts Kauai is presenting the Kauai Songwriters Music Festival on May 16 and 17 at the Hilton Garden Inn at Wailua Bay.
Workshops for songwriters or songwriting start on Friday and continue on Saturday. Admission, or registration is $80 and includes entry into the Saturday concert featuring at least 10 entertainers/songwriters.
The concert is open to the general public and tickets are available for $35 online through the Arts Kauai website at www.artskauai.org.
On Saturday, doors open at 5 p.m. for the concert that runs from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and will feature musical guests Ken Emerson, Rock Hendricks, Michael Ruff, Allan Thomas, Randy Tico, Eli Smart, Chris Whiteroot, Olivia Ruff, Kirby Keough, Pancho Graham, Bel Heredia, Bill Dick and Roger Jacobs.

The two-day festival that started in 2019 is funded by the Hawaii Tourism Authority through the Community Enrichment Program, the County of Kauai, the state Foundation of Culture and the Arts, and the Hilton Garden Inn.
Founded in 2019, Arts Kauai is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to fostering an appreciation of the arts in general, and primarily focusing on music, songwriting, and literary arts through lectures, seminars, study groups, public and classroom performances.
