Would you have gone to serve lunch to teachers at the Waimea Canyon Middle School?
Randy Francisco said this week was Teachers Appreciation — Waimea High School had at big sign over the Administration office — and he was going to help serve lunch at the Waimea Canyon Middle School because they told him they need the help. But he had to stop by and offer his congratulations on the groundbreaking of the new Waimea High School gymnasium on Wednesday before going to volunteer.
Waimea Canyon Middle School Band is having a special performance Friday night starting at 6:30 p.m., and their Spring Concert on campus next Wednesday.
Congratulations, Karen Shigemoto, HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union and all her hands on a great Taste of HawaiiUSA, Member Appreciation Celebration where attendees got to learn about building financial health while supporting some of Kauai’s small businesses like Kauai Kim Chee, and the new Joma’s sari-sari (Marie Mendaro said they’re part of the Philippine Island Hawaii Island bicycle club). Now, where can we find Joma’s?
Judge Greg Meyers said this is Law Week (it ends on Saturday) and the volunteer young lawyers will be at the Ask-a-Lawyer tent during The Grove Farm Market on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to meet anyone who has legal questions. Free answers are available, in-person and in a non-intimidating setting on a variety of legal topics, including landlord tenant disputes, family law including divorce, child custody and more, small business, and estate planning.
On Tuesday, the Judiciary brings back the Law Week Art Contest with winners being announced and presented at the District Courthouse.
