PUHI — The Hawaii Foodbank Kauai is celebrating a remarkable start to Volunteer Month, thanks to Chrysalis Events Hawaii, a local company that not only brings exceptional experiences to the island, but also a deep commitment to its community, said Tisha Remigio, the assistant director at the Hawaii Foodbank Kauai.
Chrysalis Events Hawaii is demonstrating its dedication by sending a team of more than 60 volunteers to support the food bank’s vital mission of providing food assistance to those in need on Kauai.
Adding to their support, Chrysalis Event Hawaii additional made a donation of $10,000 that will provide about 21,000 meals to individuals and families facing hunger on the Garden Island.
“We are incredibly grateful for Chrysalis Events Hawaii’s extraordinary generosity and their willingness to roll up their sleeves and volunteer,” Remigio said. “Their combined contribution of funds and time is a powerful example of how businesses can make a profound difference in our community. It is inspiring to see visitors and residents alike embrace the spirit of aloha by giving back.”
Chrysalis Events Hawaii, known for their work in event planning and coordination, is demonstrating that experiencing Kauai can go beyond tourism. By choosing to volunteer, their team is actively participating in addressing food insecurity on the island, directly supporting the efforts to provide safe food access to those in need.
This large-scale volunteer effort coincides with the start of National Volunteer Month, a nationwide celebration of the power of volunteerism. The Hawaii Foodbank Kauai is using this opportunity to launch a special initiative, “Give in Their Honor.”
“We’re challenging the community to pay tribute to the invaluable contributions of all our volunteers by making a tribute gift,” Remigio said. “It’s a wonderful way to acknowledge the time and dedication of those who give so selflessly to support our mission.”
The Hawaii Foodbank Kauai encourages everyone to join Chrysalis Events Hawaii in making a difference and to celebrate National Volunteer Month by supporting their neighbors in need.
