Jose (Joe) Gampon
Jose (Joe) Gampon, of Koloa, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 14, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born on June 22, 1940, in Eleele, Kauai. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at the Sheraton Kauai Resort.
He was preceded in death by his father Miguel Gampon, mother Ambrocia Marquez, stepfather Jose Marquez, brothers Alfredo Gampon, Frederico (Rico) Gampon, Euphemiano (Mike) Gampon, Frank Gampon, sister Gloria Gampon, nephew Frank Gampon Jr., sisters-in-law Matilde Gampon, Ursula Gampon and Colleen Okamoto.
He is survived by his wife Annie Okamoto Gampon, stepdaughters Laurie (Howard) Costa of Lihue, Wendy (Dominic) Agu of Hanapepe, Donna Winchester of Koloa, three grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, brother Benjamin Gampon of Honolulu, sister Josephine Gampon of California, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at a later date.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
