Michael Maes
Michael Maes passed away on Jan. 25, 2025, on Kauai at the age of 77. He was born on Jan. 13, 1948, in Southern California. He was a retired bartender with the Hyatt.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Genevieve Maes and sister Penelope Maes Ocorrigan.
He is survived by his caregiver Eden Delos Santos, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services to be held at a later date.

Korey James Wise
Korey James Wise, of Hanapepe, passed away at home on Feb. 2, 2025, at the age of 60. He was born on June 14, 1964, in San Francisco, California. He was self-employed in the garage door business.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon James Wise, Patricia Diane Robinson Wise and father-in-law Mariano Vea.
He is survived by his wife Danette V. Wise, son Kustom V. V. Wise, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alexander ‘Bubba’ Mathews
Alexander “Bubba” Mathews passed away on Jan. 26, 2025, at the age of 23. He was born in Rancho Mirage, California, on Aug. 17, 2001, and worked as a maintenance worker at the North Shore Preserve in Princeville, Kauai.
Alexander is survived by his beloved mother Melissa Guerrero, brother Christian Mathews and grandparents Rene and Margarita Guerrero.
A Celebration of Life will be announced in the future and will take place in Rancho Mirage, California.
