LIHUE — Kauai High School girls soccer, earlier earning the Central Pacific Bank Kauai Interscholastic Federation championship, has earned the No. 2 seed for the 2025 Motiv8 Foundation Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division II Girls Soccer State Championships.
LIHUE — Kauai High School girls soccer, earlier earning the Central Pacific Bank Kauai Interscholastic Federation championship, has earned the No. 2 seed for the 2025 Motiv8 Foundation Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division II Girls Soccer State Championships.
According to the HHSAA announcement released over the weekend, Kauai High School girls enjoy an opening day bye when the tournament starts on Jan. 29. The Lady Red Raiders will see action during the tournament’s quarterfinals on Jan. 30.
Waimea High School girls, the second KIF representative to the state championships, will see action on Wednesday when the Lady Menehune face off against No. 5 seed Kailua at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu. The match is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m.
Other schools participating in the Division II state championships include PAC-54, Roosevelt, Waialua, and Aiea high schools.
The top seed for Division II was awarded to Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii. The No. 3 seed was awarded to Mid-Pacific Institute, and the No. 4 seed goes to Seabury Hall of the Maui Interscholastic League.
As the second seed in Div. II championships, Kauai will face the winner of the Waialua and Aiea confrontation at the quarterfinals, starting at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The Division II championship is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex Main Stadium.
The seedings for the boys soccer have not been announced as of this writing.
