LIHUE — Kauai High School soccer won its most recent boys and girls series of matches during the Kauai Interscholastic Federation soccer matches played on Tuesday and Wednesday at Vidinha Stadium.
LIHUE — Kauai High School soccer won its most recent boys and girls series of matches during the Kauai Interscholastic Federation soccer matches played on Tuesday and Wednesday at Vidinha Stadium.
Kaikea Potts and Barkley Gillman each notched hat tricks, or three goals scored, to lead the Red Raider boys to a 7-0 win over Waimea High School on Tuesday at Vidinha Stadium. Seann Agoo netted the remaining goal.
Over at the Island School field, the visiting Kapaa Warrior boys marked a 4-0 win over the Voyagers.
Jared Varela and Nalu Geer found the net in the first half to give the Warriors a 2-0 bulge at the break. Coming back in the second half, Bear Miller and Eddie Silliman found goals for the final.
On Wednesday, Aileah Villatora scored two goals in the first half to lead the Red Raider ladies to a 4-0 final over Waimea High School. Coming off the break, Kauai’s Bella Nakaahiki found the net in the 51st minute, followed four minutes later by Keira Caoagas heading in a corner kick for goal.
No scores for the Kapaa girls at Island School were available by press deadline.
The next KIF soccer games will play on Saturday at the Hanapepe Stadium and the Island School field.
The Kapaa Junior Varsity boys will face the Waimea JV starting at 10 a.m. at the Hanapepe Stadium. This will be followed by the varsity boys squaring off starting at 11:45 a.m., and the varsity girls squaring off starting at 1:45 p.m.
At the Island School field, the varsity Kauai girls will start play at 2 p.m. against the Lady Voyagers, followed by the varsity boys at 4 p.m. The switch is being made because Kauai High School will be having its Winter Ball.
