Humane society needs community to be able to accept animals

Kaua‘i Humane Society foster volunteer Jason feeds a kitten. The society is fortunate to have some volunteers who take special needs animals, such as bottle-feeding kittens, home so the staff can focus on the other hundreds of animals at the shelter.

Kaua‘i Humane Society foster volunteer Keanna is shown with two of the shelter pets. Foster volunteers like Keanna temporarily care for shelter pets. The society provides supplies in their homes until animals are adopted.

KIPU — The Kaua‘i Humane Society contracts with the County of Kaua‘i to perform numerous services for the community that includes, but are not limited to, caring for homeless, sick or injured animals.
