Kudos, Kumu Hula Leina‘ala Pavao Jardin and the halau on coordinating this fundraiser (the Kaua‘i King Kamehameha Day ‘ohana was also fundraising for one of its pa‘u princesses, Jade Nakamoto, who will represent Kaho‘olawe at the Kaua‘i King Kamehameha Day celebration that takes place on June 10) for the halau’s participants to the Queen Liliu‘okalani Keiki Hula Competition.
Edwin Vea said the Beach House restaurant will be hosting its craft fair on Sunday, February 26, with at least 40 vendors, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the restaurant lawn and part of its patio.
Dom Acain is going to be at the Talk Story Bookstore in Hanapepe on Friday for his book signing from 5 to 8 p.m., the same night as the Island School fifth-grade class presents “Winnie The Pooh,” directed by Rebecca Hanson. Island School will also have performances on Saturday and a Sunday matinee at the school’s Main Hall on the Puhi campus.
Kudos, Kukui Grove Center, for listening to Cherie Cabading of Kaua‘i Partea’s suggestion of a movie night because the island only has the theatre in Waimea, and mahalo, Brenda Turville and Showtime Characters, and the FM97 crew of Janice Akiyama, Ron Wood and Wilma Chandler had Trolls (too bad Cherie was stuck in the kitchen making popcorn and hot dogs), for dinner on Saturday night.
