Pakchong, making her first appearance at the Lihu‘e marketplace, is the farmer/owner for Rainbow Roots Farm Hawai‘i, and the vice president for the Hawai‘i Farmers Union United - Kaua‘i Chapter that is led by President Ray Maki, Treasurer Anny Bruch and secretary Natalie Urminska.

It’s a new year (yes, Chinese New Year is Jan. 22 — mark your calendars!), and a bunch of new things happening at the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market on Kress Street that was held for the first time in 2023, with Bronson Aiwohi welcoming guests with his Hawaiian stylings, and a new market manager.
