Ella and Aria Kalauawa show off the money they got for their unopened Halloween candy during the Kalaheo Dental Group’s Halloween candy buyback program on Tuesday in Kalaheo. The pair also earned eligibility to be included in a drawing for a Small Fry gift card giveaway.

Is it real? A sunflower predominantly found in Kilauea, and an anthurium, are wrapped with a ginger leaf in a shot glass during the art exhibit by students of artist Penny Nichols and ceramic artist Toni Wagner at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery in Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e. The show wraps up Tuesday.

Kudos to the Kalaheo Dental Group and its Halloween candy buyback program (too much wind this year; they brought it inside) that netted a big box of treats to be sent to the armed forces serving overseas!
