Paul Vincent Canales, 59, of Puhi, passed away on Aug. 17, 2022, at Wilcox Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 23, 1963, in Lihu‘e.
He was preceded in death by father Antonio T. Canales, mother Consalacion M. Canales, and brothers Mark S. Canales and Daniel M. Canales.
He is survived by siblings May (Brian Hughes) of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Michael A. Canales of Puhi, Connie P. Canales of Ha‘ena, David (Tracy) Canales of Puhi, Tony (Gail) Canales of Puhi, Grace (James) Thomas of Nashville, Tennessee, Robert D. Canales of Puhi and Matthew P. Canales of Atlanta, cousins Chico Canales of Kapa‘a, Wedeen and Christy Yaris of O‘ahu, Rodney Canales of Maui, Rodreen Boyd of California, Ron (Melanie) Canales of Maui, Pam and Kathy Canales of California and Rory Salvatore of Lihu‘e, niece Gabrielle Hampton of Oregon, nephew Jacob Winer of Las Vegas, nieces Jasmine Christian of O‘ahu, Sarah Rose Canales of Lawa‘i, Napua Canales of Puhi, Raschel Yadao of Nashville, Tennessee and Chrisse Thomas of Tennessee, nephews Darren Helliangao of O‘ahu and Judah Thomas of Tennessee, and Dominic Canales of Puhi.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date by the family.

Sophie B. Fujinaga, 89, passed away on Aug. 15, 2022, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 10, 1933, in Anahola. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by husband Kenneth Fujinaga, siblings Kenneth Lai, Beatrice Lum, Koon Chow Lai and Richard Lai.
She is survived by son Kent Fujinaga, daughters Susan (Rankin) Pang and Lani (Mark) Pedronan, grandchildren Ashley (Jerren) Hashimoto, Mikki Pedronan, Korey Pang, Lauren Pang and Jaycee Pang, and great-grandchildren Hazel Hashimoto and Sienna Hashimoto.
A service is Friday, Sept. 9, at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kane‘ohe, O‘ahu, beginning at 10 a.m. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts) and suggests donating to a charity of your choice.

Janet C. Domingo, 80, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Aug. 29, 2022. She was born on Oct. 7, 1941, in Hanama‘ulu. She retired from the Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort as a housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by parents Hilda and Albert Corema, sister Doris (Kin Yin — deceased) Chang and brother-in-law Richard Machell.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years Ray Domingo, daughters Raynette Domingo of Koloa, Jeanette (Brian) Prem of Hanama‘ulu, son Joey Domingo of Washington, sister Irene Machell of Kapa‘a, granddaughters Denine Bernades-Domingo, Janray Bernades-Domingo, grandson Nainoa Prem, great-grandchildren Christian, Aniyah and Alizah Delos Reyes, brothers-in-law Sylvester and Ernie Domingo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be announced at a later date.

Orlando Tambulog Agpaoa of Hanama‘ulu passed away on Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, at the age of 71 years old. He was born on Dec. 19, 1950, in Laoag City, Philippines.
He retired from the state Department of Transportation Highways Division.
He was preceded in death by parents Vicente and Maria Agpaoa, brothers Vicente Agpaoa Jr., Alberto Agpaoa, sisters Natividad Agpaoa, Remedios Reanzares, Josepina Agtarap and Gregoria Pagdanganan.
He is survived by his wife Erlyn Agpaoa of Hanama‘ulu, son Larry Agpaoa of Hanama‘ulu, daughters Allison Agpaoa of Hanama‘ulu and Alyssa Agpaoa of Hanama‘ulu, brothers Jimmy Agpaoa of Philippines and Angelito Agpaoa of Hanama‘ulu, sisters Trinidad Laarca of Philippines, Ester Ramol of O‘ahu and Luzviminda Andres of Kaumakani, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A service is Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia. Viewing is from 9 to 9:30 a.m., eulogy at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Lihu‘e Cemetery. The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Kim Elizabeth Richard, 66, of Kilauea, passed away at her home on Aug. 25, 2022. She was born on Sept. 17, 1956, in York, Pennsylvania. She moved to Kaua‘i, where she was a loving mother, grandmother and animal protector.
She was preceded in death by father Andre Richard.
She is survived by children Sam (Maggi) Richard and Lacey Richard, grandchildren Felicity and Sam Jr., mother Susan Gailey and sister Samantha (Dave) Geimer.

Joseph Kahalekulu Kaleiohi
Joseph Kahalekulu Kaleiohi, 85, of Anahola, passed away peacefully at Wilcox Medical Center, on Aug. 15, 2022. He was born in Papa‘a on Sept. 6, 1936. He graduated from Kapa‘a High School in 1955. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the Hawai‘i Army National Guard, and retired from the Hawai‘i Laborers Union Local 368.
He was preceded in death by parents Ephraim and Evangeline Contrades Kaleiohi, brothers Ephraim, Edward, Ellsworth, Samuel, Robert and Phillip Kaleiohi, sisters Evangeline Evans, Winifred Cummings, Phyliss Goias and Evelyn Reis.

She was preceded in death by husband Van Martinez Ruaboro, parents Emegidio and Marina Cortado, and brothers-in-law Ricardo Ruaboro, Javis Ruaboro and Jaime Jimenez.

Hideo Robert Watari passed away on Aug. 22, 2022, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. He was born on April 14, 1931, in Kilauea. He was a veteran of U.S. Army and a taro farmer.
He was preceded in death by father Yohichiro Watari, mother Eleanor Watari, sisters Barbara Masada and Alice Ong and grandson Thomas Kaina Hideo Hashimoto.
He is survived by wife Elaine Watari of Hanalei, sons Kenneth Watari of Hanalei, Russell (Karen) Watari of Kalihiwai and Robert (Lillian) Watari of Hanalei, daughter Wanda Hashimoto of Hanalei, grandchild Lily Kailana Watari, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry P. Lorenzo, 77, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Aug. 9, 2022, in Honolulu. He was born on June 18, 1945, in Laoag City, Philippines. He was a machinist, mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by wife Maria V. Lorenzo, in Nov. 2009, brother Juan “Johnny” Lorenzo Sr., in Jan. 2008, father Calixto Domingcil Lorenzo and mother Petra Pacual.
He is survived by daughter JoAnn M. Lorenzo, son Ryan V. Lorenzo, daughter-in-law Camie Lorenzo, two grandchildren, wife Catherine A. Lorenzo, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Keith Brian DeLima, Sr. passed away on Aug. 10, 2022, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital, at the age of 60. He was born on April 22, 1962, in Fremont, California. He was a launch ordnance technician.
He was preceded in death by father Allen Rogers DeLima Sr. and brother-in-law Leland Quintal Sr.
He is survived by wife Diann L.
