LUMAHA‘I — The state Department of Transportation scheduled a right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway possible in either direction between mile markers 5 and 7, between Lumaha‘i Beach and Wainiha Bay, Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.
Kalihiwai
• A right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 25 and 26, Kalihiwai River bridge and Princeville Airport, Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs;
Hanalei
• A right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 3.2 and 3.9, between Anae Road and Waipa bridge, Monday through Thursday, Aug. 1 to 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree trimming;
Kapa‘a
• The county Department of Public Works and Grace Pacific LLC announced that portions of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will be closed from Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for clearing and grubbing work, roadway excavation and sidewalk construction;
• A right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 9 and 10, Kawaihau Road and vicinity of Kealia Beach Park, Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs;
Wailua
• A single, alternating-lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road is possible in either direction between mile markers 3.5 and 5, Pa‘ako Street and Aina Pono Street, Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for resurfacing;
• A right-lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road is possible in either direction between mile markers 5.3 and 6.5, vicinity of Wailua Reservoir and Moalepe Road, Monday through Thursday, Aug. 1 to 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for resurfacing;
• A right-shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway are possible in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements;
• A two-lane closure of Kuhio Highway will occur in either direction between mile markers 5.6 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, nightly from 8 p.m. today through Friday, Aug. 5, for paving for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements;
• A right-lane closure of Kuhio Highway will occur in the northbound direction between mile markers 5.6 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, from Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for survey work;
• A full closure of the Wailua River mauka bridge on Kuhio Highway will occur from the Kapa‘a bypass road to Leho Drive nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5, for geotechnical work. Southbound traffic will be contraflowed on the makai Wailua River bridge;
Hanama‘ulu
• The DPW and Goodfellow Bros. LLC announced that sections of ‘Akuli Street and Hanama‘ulu Road will be under short lane closures from Monday, Aug. 1 to Friday, Aug. 12, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for improvements to pedestrian access to the school, including striping and landscape;
Kalaheo
• The DPW and its contractor Maui Kupuno Builders announced that portions of Papalina Road will be closed Tuesday, Aug. 2 to Wednesday, Aug. 10, weekdays, for road-resurfacing work, as follows: Aug. 2 to 4, Pu‘u Road from Papalina Road near Kukuiolono Golf Course to Lolo Road, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Aug. 5 to Aug. 10, Papalina Road from Pu‘u Road near the Kukuiolono Golf Course to Kaumuali‘i Highway, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m;
Ele‘ele
• A single alternating-lane closure on Halewili Road is possible in either direction, between mile markers 1 and 3.8, Monday through Friday, Aug. 1, to 5, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for restriping;
Waimea
• A right-lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive is possible in either direction between mile markers 8 and 10, Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs;
Kekaha
• The DPW and Geolabs, Inc. announced that sections Kekaha Road and Akialoa Road will be under one-lane closures from Monday, Aug. 1 to Wednesday. Aug. 10, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for engineering study work to obtain data for a future project.
