PO‘IPU — The Ko‘a Kea Resort of the Meritage Collection, on Po‘ipu Beach, recently completed a $5 million renovation.
“We are excited to unveil our newly refreshed guest rooms,” according to a post on the resort’s Facebook page.
“Each room now features a color palette nodding to Kaua‘i’s gardens, red earth and traditional koa wood. Artfully crafted headboards with shell insets and coral décor are nods to our name, Ko‘a Kea, meaning ‘white coral.’ While the guest rooms are new, the ocean views remain tried and true.”
The resort has 121 units.
“While Koa Kea has long established its reputation as a world-class destination and romantic retreat, we wanted to further elevate the guest experience by transforming our guestrooms, suites and corridors to have a stronger connection to the destination,” Ajeet K. Anand, vice president of sales and marketing at Meritage Collection, told the Pacific Business News. “We want our guests to feel immersed in Kaua‘i, even from the comfort of their rooms, and this new refresh does just that.”
The resort’s Red Salt restaurant continues to be under the leadership of Executive Chef Noelani Planas, a Kaua‘i native.
Art from Hawaiian natives decorates the resort. The Spa at Ko‘a Kea, a pool with ocean views, outdoor bar, lava rock hot tub, fire pits, a yoga and fitness studio are among the resort’s amenities.
