Celebrating World Oceans Day early

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intern Abigail Seibel, a programming engineer with a railroad company in the Midwest, was born in New Mexico and is going to school in Nebraska. Seibel is an intern with the Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery center through a NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship.

LIHU‘E — The United Nations World Oceans Day is celebrated Wednesday, June 8, and the calendar of events on Kaua‘i is filling with things to do to celebrate and become aware of the impact of human actions on the ocean.
