NAWILIWILI — The Kaua‘i Art Festival will unfold from June 17 through June 29, centered around The Eyes Wide Open Production Studios/Theater located in Nawiliwili, across from Nawiliwili Park.
The first fundraising effort for the EWO Multimedia Project, a nonprofit organization, is a multi-cultural festival that brings together multidisciplinary artists in photography, art installation, pottery, sculpture and food, and will feature music, dance, art, the spoken word, film and documentary shorts, including master class workshops.
Sponsors and donors are key to the success of this event that is aimed at enriching residents’ and visitors’ lives through the arts, according to organizers. It also affords artists a platform to showcase themselves and their work.
To this end, organizers are announcing that sponsors, vendors and donations are being welcomed by The Eyes Wide Open Multimedia Project.
For artists registered to become festival artists, EWO will include a short film created by Eyes Wide Open Productions highlighting their work and who they are. These compilations will be features on the kauaiartfestivals.com website, and also be a keepsake for the participating artists. Participating artists need not be Kaua‘i residents.
More information can be found on the kauaiartfestivals.com website, the ewopmultimediaoutreach.org website, or by emailing info@kauaiartfestival.com.
Eyes Wide Open Multimedia Project was granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2020, and aims to develop a multimedia art education center where the local community can experience all aspects of the arts. The center will offer a variety of youth, educational, training and development programs and wellness programs.
