Marion Haruko Aqui
Marion Haruko Aqui passed away on May 21, 2022, at the age of 89, in Kapa‘a. She was born on May 20, 1933, in Makawao, Maui. She was a retail sales manager.
She was preceded in death by her parents Seiyei and Nabe Toguchi, brothers Clark, Kiyoshi, Hiroshi and George Toguchi, and son-in-laws Wayne Watanabe and Nelson Makanani.
Marion is survived by sons Joseph (Rita) Aqui of College Place, Washington, Gerald (Wanda) Aqui of Kalaheo, Glenn (Linda) Aqui of Puhi, Silas Aqui of Kapa‘a, daughters Kathleen Watanabe of Wailua, Jan Makanani of Hilo, grandchildren Richie (Jamie) Aqui, Jennifer (Kele) Kekuna, Kiana (Tyler) Palea, Kai (Shaylin) Aqui, Pua (Erin) Cobb-Adams, Brandee (Jeremy Tubera) Carrillo, Kahea (Drew) Desmarais, Jared (Kainoa) Aqui, Lehua (Bryson Vivas) Watanabe, Ryan (Lia) Aqui and Amber Aqui, great-grandchildren Keawe, Kainoa, Keanu, Duke, Emma, Amme, Tyran, Noah, Kira, Ka’uale’oke’o, Kanoa, Akira, Dylan, Kalaunuiohua, Kahanohaweo, Wainohia, Ka’onohihiwahiwa, Micah, Zayn, Grey, Leo, Aberly, Bramson, Ryder, Bryden, Rydge and Tinsley, brothers Mitsuo (Marian) Toguchi of O‘ahu, Isamu Toguchi of O‘ahu, Charles (Elaine) Toguchi of O‘ahu, sister Hatsue Arakawa of O‘ahu, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is at Garden Island Mortuary on Friday, June 24, 2022, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. The family request casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Marlyn T. Ampoloquio
Marlyn T. Ampoloquio passed away on May 10, 2022, at the age of 52, in Lihu‘e. She was born on May 11, 1970, in the Philippines.
She was preceded in death by her husband Juan Ampoloquio, mother-in-law Macaria Ampoloquio and brother Dennis P. Tadije.
Marlyn is survived by her parents Soledad T. Negrillo and Albino B. Negrillo, brother Jose Callena, Jr. of the Philippines, sisters Ruth Pamittan of Philippines, Myra Lores of Philippines, Lina Pamittan of Philippines, Leilani Marie Lopez of Ramstein, Germany, Mabel Rose Alejandro of San Mateo, California, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i, on Saturday, June 11, 2022. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome. Due to COVID-19, face mask is required.

Lina Manzano Panit
Lina Manzano Panit passed away on May 12, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born on Jan. 12, 1934, in Ubbog, Santiago, Ilocos Sur Philippines. She retired as a Room Attendant in the Hotel Industry.
She was preceded in death by husband Matias S. Panit, brother Antonio Manzano and sister Lumen Manzano.
Lina is survived by son Nelson (Gaynell) Panit, brother Rumulo (Nellie) Manzano, sisters Trinidad Dela Cruz, Emilia Cera, Leonora Astrero, grandchildren Matthew Panit, Tai Panit and Sarea Panit.
Services will be held at St. Catherines Catholic Church, Kapa‘a, on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. followed by Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens, Kapaia.

Moses Lono Gardner
Moses Lono Gardner passed away on May 12, 2022, at the age of 50. He was born on Jan. 7, 1972, in Waimea, Kaua‘i. He was a dry wall plasterer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Nani Gardner.
Moses is survived by his wife Christina Silva of Lawa‘i, son Rusty Gardner of Lawa‘i, daughters Nicole Gardner of Lawa‘i, Kayley Gardner of Lawa‘i, brothers Wayne (Raynette) Taniguchi of Kalaheo, Kalei (Lanell) Gardner of Lawa‘i, sister Raynette “Momilani” Gardner of Maile, O‘ahu, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Garden Island Mortuary, with visitation from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and services at 4:30 p.m. The family requests casual attire. Scattering of ashes will be held at a later date.
