“We also choreograph for the Hope Collective,” Dick said. “There’s a lot of excitement there.”
Dick said the Senior and Elite teams will be competing in jazz and hip hop this weekend during the JUMP workshop and dance competition that will run May 27 to 29 at the Hawai‘i Convention Center on O‘ahu.
The groups return to a weekend Showcase Saturday, June 4, starting at 5 p.m. at the Kukui Grove Center food court stage that serves as a preview to the Aloha Dance Studio recital that will take place Sunday, June 12 starting at 2 p.m. at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.
“Can you believe this is our 20th anniversary?” Dick asked. “We still have the three studios, including this one at Kukui Grove. We still have the gym, and I’m going to start working on developing more programs there now that we’ve gotten a new manager that allows for more work time.”
