‘ELE‘ELE — A Koloa man was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Monday on a charge of attempted murder second degree, after police say that he stabbed two people in ‘Ele‘ele.

Kristofer Dwight Bush, 33, was also charged with assault in the second and third degree, resisting an order to stop a motor vehicle and criminal property damage.

The Kaua‘i Police Department reported that they were dispatched to a residence in ‘Ele‘ele at 10:20 p.m. Sunday to respond to an alleged assault.

According to a preliminary report, Bush had stabbed a 26-year-old Koloa woman and a 21-year-old ‘Ele‘ele man. Both victims were transported to Wilcox Medical Center to be treated for injuries. Both have since been released.

Bush had left the scene prior to the arrival of police, but was located in Koke‘e the following day and arrested for attempted murder in the second degree, assault in the second degree, assault in the third degree (two counts), resisting an order to stop a motor vehicle and criminal property damage.

He is currently in the KPD cellblock. His bail has been set at $100,000, police said.

Court documents show that Bush pled no contest to a charge of third degree assault in 2010 and was placed on one-year probation.
