April is National Alcohol Awareness, Child Abuse Prevention, Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Representatives from the Kaua‘i County Council, Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, Kaua‘i Police Department, county Department of Liquor Control, YWCA Kaua‘i, Fifth Circuit Court – Judiciary, Friends of the Children’s Justice Center, state Department of Health, Child Welfare Service and the Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i were on hand for Mayor Derek Kawakami’s proclamation of April as National Alcohol Awareness, Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Friday in the Lihu‘e Civic Center Mo‘ikeha Building rotunda.

LIHU‘E — April serves as National Alcohol Awareness, Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, according to a proclamation signed by Mayor Derek Kawakami late last week.
