Car overturns in Wailua
WAILUA HOMESTEADS — A woman was transported to a Mahelona Hospital for treatment after her car overturned off Kamalu Road Monday afternoon, police said.
At about 1:45 p.m., a caller reported an overturned vehicle in a stream off Kamalu Road, near Wailua Homesteads Park.
Kaua‘i Fire Department, Kaua‘i Police Department and American Medical Response medics responded to the scene, pulling a woman from the overturned vehicle and transporting her to the hospital.
As of 3:30 p.m., KPD had blocked off the street at the corner of Opaeka‘a and Kamalu roads and were diverting traffic.
This is an ongoing investigation.
