LIHU‘E — The Motor Vehicle Registration Division of the Department of Finance is closing at 3 p.m. on today to accommodate a staff training.
Normal hours will resume on Friday.
The last customers of the Motor Vehicle Registration division will be seen at 2:30 p.m. today. The Drivers Licensing Division will remain open during regular operating hours.
The offices in the Mo‘ikeha Building of the Lihu‘e Civic Center are open weekdays except for county holidays to all customers from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kupuna hour for those ages 65 and older is from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., with no appointments necessary.
Appointments are encouraged, and those with scheduled appointments may check-in up to 15 minutes prior to their appointment times. Anyone more than 5 minutes late will have appointments canceled and be considered a walk-in customer. E-ticket and walk-in customers are served as time permits.
