To be eligible, applicants must have resided on Kaua‘i for at least four months prior to the April 6 music-scholarship competition. Applicants must be graduating seniors who are students of voice or instruments and planning to attend an accredited college, university or vocational school, or continue to study with a qualified music instructor.
Students must be recommended by a music teacher or office personnel, and must express a seriousness of purpose towards music.
Completed applications are due no later than March 25. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications and the recommendation forms must be submitted by email to themokihanaclub@gmail.com.
Qualified applicants will audition for The Mokihana Club during its April 6 meeting.
Over the years, The Mokihana Club has awarded more than $65,000 to talented qualifying seniors in both private and public high schools based on merit, not financial need.
The purpose of The Mokihana Club music scholarship competition is to encourage talented graduating Kaua‘i students to continue their music studies following high school.
