And yes, it was frightful with all that wind and rain, but mahalo to all the farmers who braved the elements to have the Pau Hana Market at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e (even if it was just for an hour), and mahalo to all the shoppers who stopped by for their fruit and vegetable needs.

Sarah Tochiki took her Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School Band into the food court to provide protection from the elements. Sarah said CKMS will be hosting its first-ever drive-thru light parade on Friday and Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring the band, chorus and different groups from the school.
Retired Gen. Mary Kay Hertog and the Kaua‘i Veterans Council with co-sponsorship from the AARP and SHAKA Spam food truck invite all veterans, active military and their families to a drive-thru lunch this Saturday at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center starting at 11 a.m.
And mahalo to the “unofficial” group of musicians who gathered at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center to add music to the Toys for Tots drive-through contributors.
Kudos, Kaua‘i Police Department Capt. Rod Green, Barbara Gusman (she’s got Holly Jolly on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. at the Sheraton Kaua‘i Coconut Beach Resort in Waipouli!), Capt. Shawn Keoho and the many hands who will make sure keiki get toys for Christmas.
Kudos, too, Disc Golf Kaua‘i ‘Ohana, Wilcox Health, and all those who came up with a surge of contributions.
