No, it’s not water for drinking, but a discarded empty water bottle that Lion Rebecca Carnate hands over to Lion John Baxter for bagging Saturday when the East Kaua‘i Lions Club cleaned the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Highway in Lihu‘e under the state’s Adopt-A-Highway program.

LIHU‘E — Spanning the section from the intersection of Rice Street on the west and Ahukini Road on the north, the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Highway does not appear to be such a long roadway.
