LIHU‘E — The state Department of Education reported 257 COVID-19 cases in schools between Sunday and Saturday, Sept. 24 to 30.
Twenty-two of those cases were on Kaua‘i. Seven of those cases were not on campus within a week of when their cases were reported, including all five cases reported at Kapa‘a Elementary School.
Kaua‘i High reported four cases, while Wilcox and Kapa‘a High each reported three cases.
Both Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle and King Kaumuali‘i Elementary schools reported two cases each.
‘Ele‘ele, Kilauea and Koloa schools all reported one new case.
