Long weekend becomes 9-week lockdown for AP Vietnam reporter

AP journalist Hau Dinh exercises with a skipping robe during a virus lockdown in Vung Tau, Vietnam on Sept. 13, 2021. Dinh set off from Hanoi for the seaside resort for a long weekend in mid-July. The trip came just as the delta variant began sweeping through Vietnam, sparking harsh lockdown measures that left him trapped away from home. Nine weeks later, he’s still there.
