LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i High School Athletic Director Keli‘i Morgado announced the need for a cheerleading coach for the upcoming season.
“Kaua‘i High School is in need of a varsity cheerleading head coach,” Morgado announced Tuesday. “If interested, please call 808-274-3169.”
There is an urgency in the request because cheerleading is among the scheduled Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation fall season sports calendar that is yet to be officially released by KIF leaders. Other fall season sports include air riflery, bowling, cross country, football, girls volleyball, and Esports.
According to the state Department of Education, Sept. 24 is the date by which student-athletes, athletic staff and volunteers will be required to provide proof of full vaccination before being eligible to participate in school-sanctioned athletic activities.
