County has King Kamehameha Day holiday closures

LIHU‘E — In observance of King Kamehameha Day, county offices will be closed Friday, along with the Kekaha Landfill, all refuse transfer stations, the Puhi Metals Recycling Center, the Reynolds Recycling HI5 Redemption Center in Lihu‘e, all the neighborhood centers, and the Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools. 

The schedule for residential refuse pickup remains unchanged.

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its regular schedule on the holiday.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Monday, June 14.

The HI5 Redemption Center, operated by Kaua‘i Community Recycling Services in Kilauea, will be operating during its regular hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
