Samuel ‘Jun’ Martinez Ramos Jr.
Samuel “Jun” Martinez Ramos Jr. of Hanama‘ulu passed away at home on March 20, 2021, at the age of 42. He was born in Lihu‘e on Dec. 20, 1978. He worked as a driver with The Kaua‘i Bus.
He was preceded in death by father Samuel Ramos, mother Renee Ramos, grandparents Primitivo and Maria Ramos and Crispin Evangelista and Anicia Cruz, sisters Michelle and Leilani Ramos, and cousins Cres Ramos Jr. and Aaliyah-Rose Ramos Pasa.
He is survived by wife Kanani Akui-Ramos, children Alexis Ramos and Pua‘ala, Lei‘ala and Kapono Akui-Ramos, nieces Alyssa Lardizabal and Xandra Ramos-Masumoto, grandmother Juana Ramos, uncles Reynaldo (Marjorie) Ramos, German (Mila) Ramos, Crescencio “Cres” (Becky) Ramos and Jerry (Emily) Ramos, aunts Gladdy (Angel) Palaroan, Sheanne (David) Michaud and Cleo (Andrew) Mulligan, in-laws Darvin (Pua‘ala) Akui, and numerous cousins.
A celebration of life is Saturday, April 17, at Immaculate Conception Church. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10 a.m.

Mary Lou K. Kanahele
Mary Lou K. Kanahele passed away on March 28, 2021, at the age of 59, in Waimea.
She was born on Jan. 11, 1962, in Pu‘uwai, Ni‘ihau. She was a wife and mom.
She was preceded in death by husband Mr. Kanahele.
She is survived by sons Wilson (Kalei) Kanahele of Anahola, Kauilikeole Kelley of Beauty, Kahelelani, Love Ho‘omaika‘i Kelley of Pu‘uwai, Ni‘ihau, Keith Earl Adams of Kaumaukani and Dallas (Chelsea) Kelley of Lihu‘e, daughters Chelsea (Billy) Niau of Pu‘uwai, Ni‘ihau, Shannon (Pila) Latu of Kekaha, Cheyenne (Mira) Kanahele of Kekaha, Kapuaonaona Dolly Roback of Ewa Beach, O‘ahu and Courtney (Gabriel) Kanahele of Makaweli, 23 grandchildren, brothers Lindsay (Margaret) Kelley of Makaweli, Cliffton (Gloria) Kelley of Kekaha, Maynard Kelley of Kekaha and Ku‘ulei (Kanani) Beniamina of Makaweli, sisters Lulubelle Kelley of Pu‘uwai, Ni‘ihau, May Gallion of Makaweli, Eliza (Kekoa) Roback of Ewa, O‘ahu and Lindy Ka‘anoi Kanahele of Kekaha, and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private service will be held.

Pedro ‘Pete’ Camalliri
Pedro “Pete” Camalliri, 91, passed away on March 12, 2021 at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital in Kapa‘a. He was born on Feb. 5, 1930, in Kawaihau, and worked at the Kaua‘i BeachBoy Hotel.
He was preceded in death by parents Vicente and Elena Camalliri, sisters Dolores (Modesto) Panis and Trinidad (Maximo) Ephan, and brother Sergio Camalliri.
He is survived by wife Flora Camalliri, children Patricia “Momi” (Russell) Yamashiro, Josephine “Jo” (Tod) Okuno, Peter “Pedong” Camalliri, Anthony “Kalama” (Lisa) Camalliri, Catherine Loo and Maile (Destry) Langtad, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 10, at Immaculate Conception Church, with Mass at 10 a.m., viewing at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Isidro ‘Sid’ Yadao Belmonte Jr.
Isidro “Sid” Yadao Belmonte Jr., 70, of Kilauea, passed away at his home on March 27, 2021. He was born on July 20, 1950, in Lihu‘e.
He retired from Office Max, formerly known as Hopaco, as a logistics manager.
He was preceded in death by father Isidro “Ising” Sison Belmonte Sr., mother Esmenia “Essie” Edica Belmonte, and brothers Andrew and Patrick Belmonte.
He is survived by daughters Maile (Dustin) Alfiler, Pualani (Herman “Ekolu” Chong III) Belmonte, Cheryl (Franklin) Cummings, Brandie (Ross) Pimental and Aaron (Whitney) Belmonte, all of Kapahi, grandchildren Kekoa, Chelsey, Trestin, Kystin, Ashley, Cortney, Kayla, Teiven, Zavier, Aliyah, Makana and Triton, great-grandchildren Kaikoa, Keli‘ikoa, Colbey, Corissa, Rhiley, Blake and Paisley, brother Eric (Crystal) Belmonte, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many close loving, long-time family friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 24, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea at 8:30 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire.
