Native wood auction coming

LIHU‘E — The state Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Forestry and Wildlife and Division of State Parks are sponsoring a forest-products auction for Kaua’i native Hawaiian wood.

All wood has been salvaged and harvested from DLNR lands on Kaua‘i over the last several years.

This auction will be held online Friday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Interested bidders should contact DOFAW as soon as possible in order to fill out an auction application and receive the participation link for the online meeting.

Applicants will also receive details in late February on all wood available in the auction, as well as locations and times to view the lots in person.

All interested applicants should contact Mapuana O’Sullivan by email at Mapuana.R.OSullivan@hawaii.gov for more detailed information.
