Yu-min tells all to Se-hee; Ji-eun determines to forget

Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles:

Weekly Update

“Man Who Sets the Table” Episodes 1 and 2 (Sun.)

Today, 6:40 p.m.: A story of changing family dynamics as society’s expectations on family evolves. A recently retired head of household faces his wife’s wanting to graduate from the institution of their marriage. He also faces his daughter’s failure to live up to his expectations. The daughter on the other hand has a hard time getting along with her strict and overbearing father.

Today, 7:45 p.m.: The family is shaken to core with the mother wanting a new lifestyle for herself and the family. The father is dumbfounded as to what brought her attitude when he’s provided for her and the family his whole life. Everyone plods for him to ask for forgiveness.

“Teacher Oh Soon-nam” Episodes 115 and 116 (Mon); Episodes 117 and 118 (Tue.)

Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Bong-chul makes a run from the police. Yu-min tells all to Se-hee. Woon-gil and Yu-na’s relationship is rocky. Bong-chul resorts to kidnapping.

Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Yu-min tries to persuade Se-hee to change her mind. Will Bong-chul give up? Yu-min tries help Bong-chul escape. Yu-min funnels Bong-chul’s slush fund.

“Phoenix 2020” Episodes 5 and 6 (Wed.); Episodes 7 and 8 (Thur.)

Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-eun’s parents learn that their daughter is in love with Se-hoon but they disapprove of his low social status.They demand that Ji-eun break up with him when she suddenly faints. Ji-eun begs Se-hoon for forgiveness for what her mom’s unacceptable behavior and wants to continue their love. However, Se-hoon coldly rejects her while Jung-in looks on Ji-eun with concern.

Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-eun determines to forget Se-hoon as she reminisces over photos of them together. However, she has a chance encounter with him at a gallery where she is set to meet Jung-in.Se-hoon and Jung-in argue over his father’s labor demonstration and ends up getting a ride to the factory with Ji-eun. Once there, Se-hoon gets assaulted by a mysterious man while helping his father. Meanwhile, Ji-eun searches for Se-hoon.

“Delayed Justice” Episode 17 (Fri.); Episode 18 (Sat.)

Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Note: from this episode, the Sam-soo character will be replaced by Actor Jung Woo-sung. Tae-young releases the video clip of the sports festival and strikes a blow to Ki-soo while Sam-soo and Yoo-kyung publishes an exclusive article. Hyeong-choon orders the documents destroyed to cover his tracks.

Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: After hearing Da-young’s story, Sam-soo is compelled to help her. Meanwhile, Tae-yong and Yoo-kyung learns that the mastermind behind everything is Kim Hyeong-choon and looks for a way to take him down.
