Letter for Thursday, January 7, 2021

Hold Trump accountable

If the 25th amendment isn’t exercised today to remove Trump immediately from office, it has no meaning. Today, Trump again disgraced the presidency and the self-immolating Republican Party.

Trump has always been a worthless failure and loser, and his decision to incite a riot today at the United States Capitol is disgraceful even by Trump’s bottomless standard.

His call to the Georgia Secretary of State was supposed to sound like a Tony Soprano threat, but instead, Trump sounded like Fredo Corleone — pitiful, small and stupid.

Everyone who supported, worked for, and voted for Donald Trump should atone for this disaster.

Hopefully, no one in Washington will be injured or killed today. Anything that happens there will be firmly on Trump’s head.

Kurt Last, Anahola

Hitler did not personally annihilate millions of Jews and Osama Bin Laden did not personally crash jets into the World Trade Center yet we hold them accountable for these incidents. Trump incited this mob with unfounded lies and rhetoric with the intent of riling them up and told his supporters to gather at the Capitol building and that he would lead them in the march to the capitol. He is responsible for this attack on America’s democracy and for the lives that were lost in this melee.

So Kurt…who gets to be held accountable for the riots, looting, assaults and burning perpetrated by Antifa & BLM that swept across the country? As usual, progressive lefties like you have nothing to say about that. I never saw a LTE from you that condemned the Antifa and BLM thuggery. You long ago joined the ranks of the hypocrites.

Plenty have said it, starting with (President) Biden. Anyone who breaks the law, whether exercising 1st amendment rights or driving on public streets or protesting for BLM or killing a Capitol cop or discharging his duties as president, needs to be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent. No one is above the law. There is no majority on the “left” denying this. It gets disclaimed frequently—but you might not know it if you get all your news from Newsmax. Pull your heads out of Alex Jones’ psycho-chamber. …And let it be said, all of you apologists and enablers of Trump and trumpism—you own this. You own what happened in Washington. And you don’t get to walk away and let others clean up the mess. If you haven’t stood up and denounced your tin-pot orange imposter yet you’re late, you’re missing the train. History doesn’t wait.

RG: the nation’s Capitol ransacked, insurrection in the halls of Congress, Congressmen & women attacked, and all you can come up with is whataboutism? Phony equivalence? The street (BLM) violence was deplorable, does a disservice to their cause. But it doesn’t compare with the events in Washington— a stain on our history, a body-blow to democracy, a rebuke to the prestige and credibility of the US. Any of you guys gonna start to take some responsibility for supporting the monster whose lie was the cause of it all?

Why hold Trump accountable when no one has been held accountable for the ongoing damage and destruction done by Antifa and the BLM criminals? I saw hold ALL accountable! No playing favorites!

You Trumpers didn’t disagree that Trump should be held accountable so I guess you are on board. Glad we could agree on something.

13 more days of this! Where to begin, I’m not. I think, hope, once our Congress gets over the shock of ducking for their lives they will just let the clock run out and pray. Trump will pay. I have to believe in some sort of satisfaction for what he has put me, you, his believers, the country even world through. This guy has put PT Barnum, the snake oil doctor and Benedict Arnold to shame.
May he suffer his worst fear of being ignored and forgotten but he is in the history books now for sure!

I voted for Trump. But he is a republican that stand for ideals that go far beyond the cry of the poor and the wild. He stands for a richer America. I was always for Donald Trump. But now they have a democratic president, Joe Biden. Let us see what Joe will do in office. I still like Trump and his ideas of what America should be. Richer than other countries. And we’re better than you. Very good Trump. There is only one reason for me to like Joe Biden. He stands for a democracy that is pro right wing. If you were born rich, good for you. It works out already. No sense in moving your way up. Barak Obama moved his way up. I think being proud of America is an American tradition. There was a song played on the 4th of July 2018. Shakka Khan. Everybody Shakka Khan. This was played at a 4th of July Carnival in 2018 on Kaua’i. On the grounds of a park. This is what Joe Biden lives for. To see everyone gets a taste of what America stands for. Listen to this song and you will see what America is like. It fits. America invites and then America delivers. It is great to be Americans.

Thanks Kurt for your letter, which predictably brought about the usual knee-jerk reactions of the die hard Trumpites. I don’t see the equivalency of the BLM protests (against murder of blacks by police) and Antifa (not even an organized group according to the Justice Department), which was only formed as a response to the Trump emboldened white supremacists, relative to the thousands of idiots fomented by Trump to attack the Congress of the United States. But there is a silver lining to yesterdays events which is that it will be the nail in the coffin of Trump as a political force in this country. When even the previously obsequious Mike Pence has had it with Trump you know his future with the Republican party, and responsible American people, is over. The stain upon our Democracy inflicted by him will never be washed away. Good riddance!

RG spouts party line propaganda. Laughable were it not for the fact that police responce in the USA is racially unbalanced. Witness the full riot police in place at the Capitol during the protests. Your party claims individual responsibility, and you support a leader and policies that are morally and ethically corrupt. Shame on you.

      Ikashibai: There’s an old saying:
you can keep your mouth shut and have the world THINK you’re a fool; or, you can open it and let them KNOW you are. You’ve chosen the second option.

I do not support and have never supported ANY politician or political ideology-left, right, center, democrat or republican. I am firmly anti-state, anti-war and pro market. Moreover, you cannot find ANY comment I’ve ever made that supports any politician or embraces the state…period. Because my comments are founded on principles (see above) it is easy for fools to assume I am choosing sides. The comment you refer to did not say anything except that hypocrisy is a losing proposition. Get a grip.

          DA & Ika
Once again you’ve opened your mouths and proven that beyond any doubt you are incapable of rational argument and understanding one. Understandable, Ika, then that you would think talking about/mentioning principles is a descent to a lower level.
And you, DA, my naive position? One based on the fundamental liberties of humans?
Either of you ever read the Declaration of Independence?
Oh well, I’ll take both your comments as compliments, considering the sources, and confirmation of my father’s admonishment to me: never argue with a bag of chalk.

I reply to the Soto not in any attempt to change his mind – he’ll take this sad outlook to his grave. But I reply for the benefit of others who read his pre-teen level ability to grasp reality:

Naive, yes. He’s obviously never considered what this world would be like if everyone thought this way. It leads to the exact opposite of what it proports. But in the short term, oh the profits you can glean… at the cost of society itself.

There isn’t enough time for another impeachment to make it in the Senate docket before Joe Biden’s inauguration.

It is the US Supreme Court docket that should alarm Democrats.

Case No. 20-815 was entered in the supreme court docket on December 15. This is Sidney Powell’s case which contains the forensic audit on Dominion voting machines used in Antrim county, Michigan.

The audit revealed the voting system produced a 68% error rate (The Federal Election Commission’s allowable error rate is 000.8%). The ballots were sent to bulk adjudication with no oversight and counted toward the state certification.
The issue goes directly against Secretary of State Benson’s claim of human error, who initially tried to block the release of the forensic audit.

Powell’s case also include Georgia’s official election records that prove Dominion system was unable to repeat the same vote totals twice. This means state election canvassers could not rely on the system’s count.

All this is aside from Dominion official’s claim that the system (and the election itself) isn’t connected to the internet during the election.
A claim that was disproven by an expert who live hacked the system during a hearing conducted by state legislators. These machines were used in at least 24 other states in the 2020 elections—–including the Georgia run offs

The supreme court will likely review the case well after Biden’s inauguration.
However, any verdict of the court that validates Dominion voting system’s corruptibility will hang over Biden’s presidency.

Joe Biden received 81 million votes, 13 million more than Barack Obama
Joe Biden won more votes than any other presidential candidate in US history
We’ll all find out exactly how that was accomplished from his basement, and yelling a few rants during his drive-in rallies attended by two dozen cars.

I almost wish the supreme court would just refuse to take up the case. Their problem is that there are similar cases headed their way, some coming from state legislatures who actually heard and obtained evidence of fraud

HUGE difference between rioting because of the continued discrimination of blacks in America -VS- rioting because some man-child didn’t get the results he wanted and it bruised his inflated ego! Trump has been a disgrace to this Country for a long time, and anyone who defends his nonsense needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror. He instigated the riot at his morning rally, and needs to be held accountable!

Kurtist, nobody claimed they can “cure COVID or Cancer” among other things. And, her name is Kamala. Get some reality in your life. SMH.

It is a much better sound bite than the long, drawn out words he could have used, but really… He’s obviously promising to invest the R&D for curing cancer. Are you against that? He never said that “he alone could cure cancer”, he never said “I know the cure for cancer”. “We’re going to” makes it an easy extrapolation.

You have to WANT to believe the falsehoods, and I genuinely feel concern for your mental wellbeing because of it.
