KIUC calendar is appreciated

I just received my KIUC calendar in the mail, and want to thank KIUC for printing it every year, and to all the children who participated in submitting their drawings for consideration.

It must be a hard choice for the staff at the power company to select which ones get printed, since all of them are worthy of print.

Thanks to all the keiki, and keep up the great work.

The calendar is something my wife looks forward to yearly, and likes when the month changes to see what artwork will be the focal point on our refrigerator!

The Garden Island has never vetted letters or opinion pieces for accuracy prior to their being published. Most respectable newspapers do and it’s a shame that the editors at TGI seem to care so little about the truth. Well, they need to start caring. Otherwise, people — like their pet Rosen and, in this case, Richard Morse — will continue to be given license to spew their conspiracy theories, half-truths and outright lies. Haven’t we had enough of that?

Steven, that was one fell swoop!
