KOLOA — The county Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC announced that sections of Koloa Road and Maluhia Road are scheduled for lane closures from Monday to Friday, Jan. 4 to 8.
KOLOA — The county Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC announced that sections of Koloa Road and Maluhia Road are scheduled for lane closures from Monday to Friday, Jan. 4 to 8.
Multiple sections of Koloa Road will be under single-lane closures for shoulder construction and pavement work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day
In addition, pavement-marking, sign-installation and guardrail work are scheduled on Maluhia Road under a single-lane closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.
Eastbound motorists from the Westside, Kalaheo and Lawa‘i are advised to take Kaumuali‘i Highway to Maluhia Road to access Koloa and Po‘ipu.
‘Oma‘o Road is a narrow, residential road that is not intended to be used as a detour route, and not designed for high volumes of traffic. The speed limit is 25 mph the entire length of ‘Oma‘o Road. Through trucks are prohibited on ‘Oma‘o Road for the duration of this project.
