LIHU‘E — The Rice Street Business Association is hosting a pandemic and family-friendly, park-and-watch firework show on New Years Day, Friday, Jan. 1, at Vidinha Stadium, benefiting the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch.
LIHU‘E — The Rice Street Business Association is hosting a pandemic and family-friendly, park-and-watch firework show on New Years Day, Friday, Jan. 1, at Vidinha Stadium, benefiting the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch.
Gates open at 6 p.m., with live music performances by ‘Oiwi and Zech.
The fireworks display begins at approximately 8 p.m.
“Our organization wants to commemorate all the good that has happened in 2020 and welcome 2021 with renewed energy,” RSBA President Dr. Addison Bulosan said in a statement.
“We want to kick off the year with our community and continue to support our local businesses. The proceeds of this event will be donated to the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i to help local families in need.”
RSBA recommends guests bring their own food and beverages for the show. Restrooms will be available.
This park-and-watch fireworks show will follow all pandemic guidelines, including social distancing and mask-wearing to keep everyone safe.
Tickets are $10 per car, available at kauainewyears.eventbrite.com. Limited parking is available.
The event is sponsored by the County of Kaua‘i, Corteva Agriscience, Electricians Inc., The Specific Chiropractic Center and RSBA.
