Kudos to Randy Leonard and Monica Chung, who formed Sing Out Kaua‘i during the COVID-19.

The group showed up at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e hot on the heels of Hank Curtis on keyboard to liven up the shopping center — especially when they stopped at Santa’s House on Candy Cane Lane, where groups of shoppers tried to be socially distanced while waiting on the start of the holiday lights show (er, two numbers every 30 minutes).

OK, Christmas is pau. Time for the kadomatsu that will hopefully still be available at the Pau Hana Market (is Frank Cruz still playing now that Christmas is pau?) at Mayette Loseto’s house and, according to Laurie Ho, Elvrine Chow’s brother Hank Zevatt is supposed to have kadomastu, too. Last chance to get the fresh stuff before New Year is 3:30 p.m. Monday. Too bad Keiki Christmas is pau — no mo’ cookies, anymo.’
