Kalani Telles

Kalani Telles peacefully passed away on Nov. 13, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his wife and two children.

He was born on Oct. 28, 1976. He is the son of Rankin and Charlotte Telles. He is the youngest of three boys: Macy (Maile) and Dustin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He courageously battled cancer for 12 years. He was a firefighter with the Kaua‘i Fire Department for 20 years.

He is survived by wife Lisa and children Alexis and Xander. He will be remembered by so many for his contagious smile, kindness and his positive outlook on life.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gregorio Sadora

Gregorio Sadora, 90, of Wailua Homesteads, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 3, 2020. He was born on Dec. 9, 1929, in Kahuku, O‘ahu. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea.

He was preceded in death by his son N. Kalani Sadora, brother-in-law Bill Ancheta, parents Loreto and Maxima Sadorra, and in-laws Eusebio and Estefania Afaga.

He is survived by wife Goni Sadora, children Cheryl (Glenn) Belisle, Gregory (Nani) Sadora and Stephanie (Stacy) Iwasaki, grandchildren Shaunte Sadora, Shyanne Sadora, Kaiea Iwasaki, Kanoa Iwasaki, Keala Iwasaki and Skyler Sadora, sisters Connie Ancheta and Becky (Roger) Ancheta, brother Herman (Virgie) Sadorra, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 28, with viewing from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

A Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe at 1 p.m. Masks and social distancing are required.

Kunio Hasegawa

Kunio Hasegawa passed away on Nov. 11, 2020, at the age of 89, in Lihu‘e. He was born on Nov. 1, 1931, on Kaua‘i. He was a veteran with the U.S. Army and also a tellyman and supervisor for Amfac.

He was preceded in death by wife Eleanor Hasegawa.

He is survived by daughters Sharon Bernardino of ‘Ele‘ele, Lorna (Robert) Brun of Kalaheo and Blythe (Luke A.) Hasegawa-Simao of Kalaheo, grandchildren Kai (Tani) Ishino, Randy (Cher) Brun, Brittney (Shane) Brun, Ross (Chanel) Brun, Breanne Brun and Luke A. (Kiaura Tabian) Simao Jr., great-grandchildren Orion and Emmett Ishino, Chyleisha, Laccey and Shayda Brun, brother Masao (Virginia Kumsin) Hasegawa of Kalaheo, and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A walk-through and talk story session is at Garden Island Mortuary on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. to noon, with a celebration of life at noon.

Due to COVID-19, masks and 6-feet social distancing are required.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
