Response to Gary Hooser

Mr. Gary Hooser in response to your opinion editorial “Policy and Politics” and to all other Democratic Socialist Progressives, your ideology is far Left of Center and is truly not considered Centrist. Your unique attempt to move your “Goal Posts” further Left is admirable and a failure.

I will challenge your positions as an American Constitutional Originalist and Conservative Republican and will respond to your list of values and issues in sequence. We must remember that the intent of our Founding Fathers was to present to its citizens, us, a Constitutional Republic. Now to your values and issues:

w Health care is a benefit available to all American citizens to seek without any government intervention.

w Black Lives Matter is a Marxist and Racist Organization that must not exist in the United States.

w The America’s criminal justice system and consequences must be taught in all Public venues, especially in the home and in the Public Schools.

w The Constitution is crystal clear under, “Amendment I, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Our Constitution does not recognize “Protest” as the highest form of patriotism.

w The United States must lead in Climate Change science, that the normal function and events of the World is caused by Earth axis tilt as it orbits the sun.

w There is absolutely no legal or economic reason to make adjustments to the Federal Minimum Wage Rate. The Minimum Wage Rate must be established by each State of the Union, with the Private Sector and Labor negotiating sick leave and family medical leave benefits.

w No changes are required to any of the United States Tax Laws for another ten (10) years. The current Tax Laws must be given time to stabilize with the American economy and Congress must affect the reduction of the Country’s debt.

w No changes are required to any of the existing United States Environmental, Economic, and Climate Laws, where the time of ten (10) years, must be provided to have the existing Laws work as provided.

w The Federal Government must coordinate with States and Counties to guarantee that all citizens have available clean air, clean water, and can survive without fear of toxic waste.

w Parents of all children must be the first early educators to develop that lifetime bond between Parents and Child. The Parents are empowered to choose any early-childhood education program without any government intervention.

w Pay and benefits are temporary motivators of teachers. The Dept. of Education (Board and Administration) must find other methods of providing incentives for teachers to enjoy their career choice.

w Best incentives for post high school students continuing their education are through scholarships, work-study programs, and Private Sector financial educational plans.

w The Defense and Border security of the United States and its citizens is the primary responsibility of the Federal Government and the Congress. The United States as a Constitutional Republic provides the citizens of the State full authority to elect their Representatives to present their voice in support of the National defense.

w The Constitution is crystal clear that; Amendment XIV, SECTION. 1. “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” Compensation falls into the area of equal protection of the laws that the compensation must be equal for doing the same work and modified for experience.

w The Constitution is crystal clear that; Amendment I, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” The First Amendment does not have any reference to your words, “Freedom of religion and the right to believe – or not to believe-is a fundamental human right. Church and state must remain separate.”

w The Constitution is crystal clear in; Amendment XIV, SECTION. 1. The Constitution is silent on LGBTQ+ individuals and their community, for if they are “born or naturalized in the United States, they are subject to the jurisdiction thereof, as citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. And, most important, “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.” All LGBTQ+ Hawaiian citizen must comply to the same Laws as any other Hawaiian citizen.

w The Constitution is crystal clear that; Amendment XIV, SECTION. 1. Twenty-nine (29) States, in conformance with Science, have adopted Laws that Life begins at Conception. And, four (4) additional States have introduced life begins at conception legislation. The Congress, representing all 50 States of the Republic, has introduced legislation supporting “Life begins at Conception” and continue working for approval of the legislation.

w Diversity is “not” our greatest strength. Our faith and fortunes are bound together and rise and fall together (As Americans). The Constitution is crystal clear under; Amendment XIV, SECTION. 1. That we are one as an American citizen (All persons born of naturalized in the United States) standing together and certainly not diverse to defuse our strength. We are one, as American, period.

The values and issues of yours and the Democratic Party are radical and in direct conflict with the Constitutions’ intent of a Republic form of government. Seriously, we are far apart in our values and issues, and if you are serious in wanting a better tomorrow, it is in your court by returning to the clear intent of our Constitution.

Mr. Hooser, yes, we can work together when you come back to the side as Constitution Originalists and accomplish the Country’s purpose as intended by our Founding Fathers.

    Beside concurring with the comments offered by Mr. James I. Kuroiwa, I would also add that the current democratic party is a very different demoractic party that rose to prominence when Governor John Burns, U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye, U.S. Senator Spark Matgunaga, led the way to establish the party as the party of the working (labor) class. Now with the current democratic leadership, it has been displaced by the republican party as the party of the working class. Also, the republicans appear to be championing the cause of re-establishing patriotism to the American flag and U.S. of A. While the democrats embrace distancing themselves from that practice.

    Mr. Gary Hoosier began as a humble country politician. After bombing out at the state governmental level, he has, and still is trying to exert his influence on state and local, and now national politics. I hate those who try to tell others how to live their lives and what to do with their own bodies. I hate wanna-be dictators. I hate people who think their God is the only God. I hate close-minded people. I hate those who control huge corporations who put profit over people and the environment. I hate intolerance and racism. I hate liars and cheats. By the way, businesses boarded up before the election because they were afraid of the rioting and looting in case Trump wins which would have been caused by who? -BLM organization, Antifa and far left angry mobs.     -You call yourself an American Constitutional Originalist. Do you really believe that the Founding Fathers were all-knowing, that we must live by the dictates of men in power in 1776? Think about it. Has anything changed in the last 244 years? Stop living in the past.

    -We can all seek health care? Good luck paying the price. And if pre-existing conditions are not covered, you can just expect to die, and so be it?

    -Why are you scared that Black Lives Matter? They do, you know.

    -We agree that America’s criminal justice system and consequences must be taught in all Public venues, especially in the home and in the Public Schools. BUT we should also mandate that critical thinking classes be taught in all schools, public and private.

    -Peaceful protest is a form of just patriotism. Always question authority! If you had done so, you may have re-considered getting involved in the immoral Vietnam War.

    -You are denying that man-made carbon emissions have suddenly impacted the earth’s climate? That “earth tilt” is the cause? Good luck in trying to sell that argument to scientisits and thinking people.

    -No changes to the Tax Laws? Just let the rich get richer and let heartless corporations who answer to shareholders about their bottom line? Trump pays $750 and Bezos pay $0. Fair?

    -United States Environmental, Economic, and Climate Laws have been eviscerated by Trump and Republicans like yourself, seeking, self enrichment in the short term while leaving a less healthy planet for generations to come.

They have elected Biden and dumped tRump. Encourage tRump to leave office graciously and to coordinate with a successful transition.

    -Need I go on? You wish to return to 1776, when men were Christian men and blacks were slaves, property to be bought and sold. When plantation owners ruled and the riff-raff suffered.

    Gary Hooser is not perfect, but he represents policies as one who has immersed himself with lots of heart and a mind steeped in critical thinking.

    Perhaps you should reconsider what you are advocating, a nation divided by haves and have-nots, science believers and climate deniers, Christians and all others.

      KauaiBoy, all that is written in the United States Constitution applies in today’s time and for certain in tomorrow’s time. Our Founding Fathers, in their genius, established a concept for a Republic, a form of Government, and placed that concept in writing for all Americans to read, discuss, study, and understand. In some 244 years, only 27 amendments have been added. The United States Constitution allows for all Americans to live in the present, to plan for the future, including you, on a rock-solid foundation of law that apply equally to all citizens. Yes, I am an American Constitutional Originalist.

In my opinion of Trump would have been removed from office by the Senate conservatives would have won the presidency with Pence as a candidate,as evidence by The many split tickets disrespected conservative to Congress but fired Trump.

That of which he took the same Oaths we all have taken at some point in our lives which is to protect, defend, and uphold the Constitution of these United States. I took that oath on April 17th 1967. I don’t know of any expiration date on that BLANK CHECK of which I signed. I don’t believe there was one on his either. In closing ! I thank you both for your service to this Nation.     James I. Kuroiwa Jr. please look up the “Dunning-Kruger” effect. Then answer these questions:
    1) Did you go to Law School and pass the Bar Exam and practice law ?
    2) Did you clerk for a Judge, preferable one on the Supreme Court ?
    3) Are you a Professor teaching Constitutional Law at a Law school ?
    4) Or are you known in the legal field for your expertise in Constitutional law and/or have you tried a case at the Supreme Court ?

    If you answered NO to all of the above then the Dunning-Kruger effect applies.

    Your ideals have a retro 50s vibe to them. A 50s when women had no oral contraception and no equal pay. A 50s when black folks couldn’t buy a home where or how they wanted. This is the 21st century.
    Those kids dancing in the streets after the election was called are the future and they can buy a house and the girls all have access to the Pill. Now they want more. They want equal rights for everyone. They elected a women to the vice presidency!
