Lihu‘e’s Bernard Matsumoto scores second ace of his career, at Wailua

WAILUA — Bernard Matsumoto, from Lihu‘e, hit his second hole-in-one on Oct. 7 at Wailua Golf Course.

Matsumoto’s accomplishment came on the 168-yard, 14th hole, using a Callaway 5 iron.

Matsumoto has been golfing for 25 years.

The ace was witnessed by Buzzy Cox, Elmer Balilea and Lance Yamada. Matsumoto wanted to thank his swing coach Tommy Perez.
